4 - Nice for a couple of hours

A short walk from Baia Grande hotel, it was a nice place to spend a Sunday - late morning/early afternoon.
The bar was nice and surprisingly cheap given what they could have charged for drinks given the amazing view of the beach/bay we had from the terrace
Also there were surf schools renting boards and offering lessons while the sea was as flat as a pancake, so don't fall into that trap.
If you're staying close, I would recommend it for a couple of hours. If you're not that close I wouldn't bother unless you intend to spend all day on the beach...
4 - Small But Busy

Praia da Coelha is a lovely beach, really picturesque, and maybe we were unlucky but each time we went it was incredibly busy and tricky to get a place to relax. The sand is very soft and deep and on really hot days is difficult to walk on. It's great for activities such as paddle boarding or snorkelling, but the sea gets deep fast so maybe not so good for little kids. But it is beautiful and worth visiting for an evening stroll along the cliff walk.
5 - Nice, quiet oasis

We found what we were looking for: a quiet, secluded beach. Even in the May holiday not too many people around. The tide is nice for the children to play in
